Overlooking the beautiful lake of Lugano with the breathtaking mountains as a backdrop and only quarter of a mile from the old town of Porlezza. The views from this apartment are magnificent. The apartment is ideally situated for anyone wishing to explore the enchanting Italian Lake district being centrally situated and very close to lake Como 10km and lake Maggiore 20km. The Italian/Swiss border being only 6 km away means you can also discover the delights of Switzerland the city of Lugano being only 10 km away. The winter ski slopes of Switzerland are approximately 1hr 30 minutes drive away. This apartment and its south facing position make it an ideal all year round holiday situation. Porlezza is a fifteen-minute walk away along the lakeside pedestrian old road. The town is unspoilt and picturesque with many old cobbled streets where you will find traditional shops such as bakeries, butchers, delicatessens, gelaterias, post office and church. There are many cafes and restaurants, designer clothes shops and of course the old hardware shop! The town is full of character and will provide for your every need in a quiet way. There are so many places of interest to visit it is impossible to list them all however when you have explored places local to Porlezza other places you might want to visit are: Bergamo an old city that is also well worth exploring and of course for the shopaholics how could you not visit Milan. Lake Garda to the east is approx 3 hours drive and Venice is also possible as a day excursion. |

The apartment comprises of: Lounge area with double bed settee, dining area and kitchen. Double bedroom, Twin bunk bedroom, shower/basin and toilet. Large balcony with table, chairs and sun lounger’s which can also be used in the garden. Single garage, car parking and large garden. |

The facilities within the apartment include |

Heating throughout. The apartment is one of eighteen privately owned condominium apartments with electronically gated access. The garden is part of the condominium and may be used for sun bathing and relaxing. The lakeside is a stone’s throw away where you can take a swim or take part in water sports in the clear water of the lake. Access to the lakeside is gained by walking to the bottom of the driveway where the lakeside road underpass brings you to the public lido. There is also an excellent restaurant situated here. Water sports such as canoeing, sailing, wind surfing and water skiing are all possible, golfing in nearby Menaggio, the whole area is excellent for walking, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing and cycling, or just relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere as well as the sun. |
