There are many properties available ranging from apartments to lakeside villas.

The buying process is not difficult but it is important to have a realtor well versed in the process and speaks and understands your language of preference.  There are no restrictions on foreigners buying property in Italy.

The other important thing to know is that there is no multiple listing of properties as they do in the US.  Each realtor has his own listings, so to get a good feel for properties available, you might have to contact several agencies.
